P-Galactoside binding lectin

A 29 kDa P-galactoside-binding lectin is secreted by brochiolar Clara cells of the rat (Wasano and Yamamoto 1989). Pneumocin (Mr 165 kDa) is a sia-loglycoprotein decorating the surface membrane of the Clara cells, but not that of the neighbouring abated calls (Lwebuga-Mukasa 1991). [Pg.154]
