The mechanisms of action of ketoprofen have not been definitively proven in the horse, although ketoprofen has been shown to inhibit COX enzymes. From all of the definitions, it can be stated that, in general, composite material is considered to be a material that is composed of at least two physically distinct phases of materials. The first phase is a continuous material, called matrix, which surrounds the dispersed phase. The dispersed materials can be in the form of particle as well as fiber. The fibers and particles usually act as reinforcements to carry load or to control strain, whereas the matrix acts as a bonding medium to transfer load and to provide continuity and structural integrity.
