Outdoor weathering environmental conditions

The purchaser will specify whether the installation is indoors (heated or unheated) or outdoors (with or without a roof), as well as the weather and environmental conditions in which the equipment must operate (including maximum and minimum temperatures, altitude, unusual humidity, and dusty or corrosive conditions). The unit and its auxiliaries shall be designed for operation under these specified conditions. [Pg.21]

Here should be explained the range of environmental (ambient) temperatures, humidity, winds, and available cooling water conditions. The design ambient temperature should be stated. The type of weather throughout the year may have an influence on the design of the equipment, e.g. dust-laden wind, heavy storms, corrosive rain, air contaminated with chemicals. Outdoor and indoor conditions should be described if appropriate. [Pg.471]

When installed outdoors, switches and sockets must withstand severe weather and other adverse environmental conditions. [Pg.41]

Consequently, the errors of each kind of procedure are determined by the absence of simultaneously acting factors or supra estimation of applied conditions. The synergistic effects of environmental stressors determine correct results, which must be correlated with the chemistry of material. The repeatability of artificial weathering tests provides somewhat similar information, which is influenced by the material history. The outdoor exposure does not ever create identical intensities of degrading agents. The meaningful results are obtained by the simulation of natural... [Pg.194]
