Organometallic compounds INDEX

This index contains over 40,000 individual entries to the 6200 text pages of Volumes 1-7. The index mainly covers general classes of heterocyclic compound and specific heterocyclic compounds, but also included are natural products, other organic and organometallic compounds where their synthesis or use involves heterocyclic compounds, types of reaction, named reactions, spectroscopic techniques and topics involving heterocyclic compounds. 

Registry Numbers. Annual supplements, with cumulative indexes, have appeared since 1983. A similar work, devoted to organometallic compounds, is the 2nd edition of the Dictionary of Organometallic Compounds , 6 vols. in its 5th supplement, published by Chapman and Hall in 1989. Another, Dictionary of Steroids , 2 vols., 1991, is also published by Chapman and Hall.

This publication arose as a result of literature surveys carried out for B6.1. Compounds are arranged by molecular formula, and for each, the physical state, type of spectrum (IR, Raman, etc.), and range are listed. 

Gl. M. Dub, ed., Organometallic Compounds, 2nd ed. Springer, Berlin, 1966. Vol. 1, Compounds of the transition metals. Surveys the literature 1937-1964. A separate volume contains a formula index, and a supplement covering the literature 1965—1968 is in preparation.
