Organometallic compounds alkynylation

Silver alkyls and aryls, together with silver(I) complexes of cyclic polyenes and alkynyl ligands, are generally classified under organometallic compounds. Stable silver(I) carbonyl complexes that have been characterized by X-ray analysis include [Ag(CO) B(OTeF5)4 ], [Ag(CO)2 B(OTeF5)4 ], and [Ag(CO) HB[3,5-(CF3)2pz]3 ]. Silver acetylide (Ag2C2) complexes are described in Section 3.6. 

Oxidative addition of aryl (or vinyl) halide to Pd(0) precursor forms the monoarylpalladium complex that is the common intermediate in the catalytic cross-coupling reactions of haloarene with organometallic compounds of main group elements such as Mg, Si, and Sn. Alkynylcopper, formed from alkyne, Cu(I) salt and base in the reaction mixture, transfers the ligand to the above Pd complex, giving an intermediate complex with aryl (or vinyl) and alkynyl ligands bonded to Pd. Reductive elimination of arylacetylene (or enyne) occurs...

Transmetalation of lithium or organolithium compounds with various kinds of organometallic compounds proceeds as described above and shown in eqs. (3.4) and (3.5). In particular, the transmetalation with organotin compounds is widely utilized for organic syntheses as shown in eq. (3.30) [75—77]. The transmetalation reaction of tin and lithium as shown in eq. (3.30) is in an equilibrium state and if R is an alkenyl, an alkynyl, an allyl and substituents having a hetero atom, the reaction easily proceeds. If R is a saturated alkyl group, the reaction is difficult [75,76].
