Organic matter insoluble macromolecules

Attention should be given to the possibility that the compounds are not present in the "free" state but are associated with macromolecules, both soluble and insoluble organic matter, and inorganic material. Analytical procedures should attempt to take this into account using the appropriate empirical fractionation protocols.
