The top of Figure 21 shows a microprocessor module developed by Honeywell for computer applications. The module contains nine bipolar gate array ICs, with 174 I/Os per chip that are bonded by TAB to an 80 by 80 mm substrate with 420 off-package connections around the edge of the substrate (80). Electrical entrance package- The entry point of the electrical power including (1) the strike or location where the overhead or underground electrical lines connect to the house, (2) The meter which measures how much power is used and (3) The panel or circuit breaker box (or fuse box ) where the power can be shut off and where overload devices such a fuses or circuit breakers and located. 

After RGA data are collected and analyzed, the package is delidded to examine the inside components, interconnections, materials, and surfaces. Because removing the lid is a destructive process, it should be done in a lid-down position with special equipment to vacuum off any debris. After delidding, the components, surfaces, and connections are optically examined followed by analytical testing such surface analysis for contaminants, especially chloride and sodium ions. Scanning acoustical microscopy (SAM) is very useful in detecting voids, cracks or delamination within the adhesive or at the adhesive bond line. A system state is the physical configuration of system hardware and software. Hardware and/or software are configured in a certain manner in order to perform a particular mode. A system state characterizes the particular physical configuration at any point in time. States identify conditions in which a system or subsystem can exist. A system or subsystem may be in only one state at a time. There is a connection between modes and states in that for every operational mode, there is one or more states the system can be in. For example, a stopwatch is a system that typically has modes such as on, off, timing, and reset. The on mode may go into the initialization state, which requires the initialization software package. 

A bypass pipe connection may be used to isolate the mixing tank from the rest of the dyeing vessel in this way low liquor ratios can also be established. The fluid flow loop through the pipes, however, can be controlled by means of pneumatic valves that direct the fluid from inside to outside, or vice versa, of yam packages. This may be done with the aid of a four-way valve located at the base of the kier. A ventilator valve may be used to direct the liquid in the top of the kier to the mixing tank, and once the kier is full this valve is shut off. Valves may be controlled manually via a control box or via connections to the interface, which in the example in Table 7.2 are BlTs 0-5 of PORT B. All pneumatically operated ball valves on the machine may be fitted with doubleacting actuators. The actuators may be controlled by solenoid/spring spool valves (e.g. 5/2). The term 5/2 denotes a valve with five ports and two positions.
