Normalization/harmonization

This can be defined by the most severe external fault at which the schetne will remain inoperative. It should also remain inoperative in healthy conditions. That is it should be immune to the momentary voltage or current transients and normal harmonic contents in the circulating current. Series LC-filter circuits are generally provided with the relay coil to suppress the harmonics and to detect the fault current more precisely. [Pg.482]

Cnrrents and voltages in a power system usually have a sinusoidal waveform of the fundamental power system frequency plus other normal harmon-... [Pg.418]

The SCHA is formally again harmonic, that is, the true lattice system is to be approximated by some other effective harmonic lattice whose force constants and lattice parameter are to be optimally adjusted. The renormalized force constants are obtained from a self-consistency condition. Self-consistency is achieved by replacing the normal harmonic force constants by effective force constants which are thermal averages with respect to the effective harmonic Hamiltonian. [Pg.176]
