Nongovernment organization

IUPHAR, an acronym for International Union of Pharmacology, a nongovernment organization of national societies functioning under the International Council of Scientific Unions. 

The participants in this symposium were selected because they represented either government or nongovernment organizations, and because they were involved directly in the problem of commercialization of federally funded R D.

A constitution was adopted with subsequent registration of the ICCIDD as a nongovernment organization (NGO) in Australia with an administrative office in Adelaide, Australia. In accordance with the constitution, an executive committee was elected, which included a chairman, vice chairman, executive director and secretary. In 2001, the administrative office was transferred to Ottawa, Canada. 

Expertise and know-how knowledge of nongovernment organizations, particularly the International Labour Organization (ILO), should be drawn on, promoting a collaborative approach to supporting employment and livelihood assistance... 

It is thus in the interest of government, pan-government, and nongovernment organizations to support the development of new drugs and formulations to reduce the economic burden of ill health on individuals and on the organizations themselves.
