Nominal cell voltage

The nominal cell voltage is 3.6-3.7 V the energy density and power density are 100-160 Wh/kg, and 250-340 W/kg, respectively the charge/discharge... [Pg.618]

The thermodynamic parameters are identical to those of the nickel/hydrogen battery, and the nominal cell voltage is also 1.3 V. This has the very important... [Pg.112]

An automotive fuel cell system replacing an internal combustion engine must be of a similar size and weight. The size of the stack greatly depends on the selected nominal cell voltage, that is, the stack voltage efficiency. The stack specific volume (m per kW) is ... [Pg.351]

In order to test the performance of the compression-molded bipolar plates, a 63-cell subscale stack was built initially and tested. The performance of the subscale stack at the nominal power condition is shown in Figure 5. The test conditions are described in detail in Table 1. At a current density of 0.115 A/cm, the stack was able to stably operate at an anode stoichiometry of 1.15. The single cell voltage at this point was measured at 0.74 V. This results in slightly higher performance than previously seen with machined bipolar plates. [Pg.371]

The power range of a PEM system is calculated by multiplying the active stuface per cell, the number of cells, current density in ampere per cm and the cell voltage. That means a cell voltage of approx. 2.1 V in case of the here shown stack with a nominal power of 25 kW, 40 cells with 300 cm each and a current density of one ampere per cm cell surface. [Pg.214]

As indicated above, anodes may be lifted at half their nominal life, cleaned and returned to prevent irregular dissolution and to reduce cell voltage. [Pg.234]
