Demarcation can be used to indicate where vehicles are prohibited to park. Demarcation can also be used in critical areas, such as below firefighting and electrical equipment. The purpose of this demarcation would indicate a keep free area or a no parking area. Should goods be stacked in front of firefighting equipment, it could render the firefighting eqnipment inaccessible, which is nndesirable in an emergency. [Pg.138]

To ensure that employees and visitors park their vehicles in the correct areas in a correct manner, parking bays should be demarcated. To discourage parking of vehicles in unauthorized places such as in front of first aid stations, fire hydrants, or other unauthorized areas, no parking zones are demarcated on such areas. [Pg.138]

Dispose of oxygen only in an area free of flames, sparks, and flammable materials where the oxygen can be dispersed rapidly. An empty, open cement parking area is ideal. A fiime hood may be used to disperse oxygen slowly if there are no sparks or flammable materials in the hood. [Pg.432]
