X), oxygen removal over Ni-Mo and (0), nitrogen removal over Nir-Mo. [Pg.145]

CANON [Completely Autotrophic Nitrogen Removal Over Nitrite] A process for removing nitrogen from sewage sludge in an anaerobic digester. Developed and piloted in the University of Santiago de Compostela from 2001. [Pg.54]

Iwamoto, M., Mizuno, N. and Yahiro, H. (1991) Removal of nitrogen monoxide over copper ion-exchanged zeolite catalysts, Sekiyu Gakkaishi, 34, 375. [Pg.138]

The pentane layer is separated and the aqueous layer is extracted twice with 60-ml portions of pentane. The combined pentane solutions are washed three times with 400-ml portions of ice-cold water and dried over magnesium sulphate under nitrogen. Removal of the pentane under vacuum gives 249 mg (97%) of crude aldehyde 240 mg of this oil is dissolved in c. 2 ml of pentane and filtered through a 3 cm x 2.5 cm column of deactivated silica gel (1) and the column eluted with pentane. Removal of the pentane gives 215 mg (89%) of a very pale yellow oil. Spectra (n.m.r. and i.r.) show the oil to be pure octanal. [Pg.600]

After 15 min, divert the nitrogen stream over the surface of the solution, and remove the tissue from the cell. [Pg.142]

Titanium tetrachloride (British Drug Houses) is stirred over copper powder under nitrogen at ca. 80° for 3 hr before vacuum distillation into a storage ampul (Fig. 9a). Immediately before use, a TiCU-hexane solution (ca. 1 mmole of TiCU per milliliter of hexane) is prepared by vacuum distillation of a weighed quantity of titanium tetrachloride from the storage ampul into a 100-ml flask by short-path vacuum distillation. The flask is filled with nitrogen, removed, and quickly stoppered with a serum cap. The required volume of hexane is syringed into the flask. [Pg.121]

To determine the order of reaction, commercially available nitrogen of 99.95 mole % purity was used as diluent in some experiments. Trace amounts of oxygen in the nitrogen were removed over reduced copper gauze at ca. 400°C. [Pg.77]
