New Toolbar

There are two ways to create a custom toolbar. One way is to modify an existing toolbar (such as the Standard toolbar). The other way is to create a new toolbar and then proceed to add built-in tools, as described earlier, or custom toolbuttons, as described later in this chapter. This way you can leave the Standard and Formatting toolbars (for example) unmodified and display your own custom toolbar. To create a new toolbar, use the procedure in the following box. [Pg.320]

Using the New command you can create a new toolbar that meets your personal needs. Customize allows you to include additional icons in a toolbar a second dialog box will open. Switch to the Commands page (Fig. 8.4) and select one of the categories. On this page you can select the button you want to add to the toolbar chosen. Dynamics of Adiabatic Reactors with and without Catalyst We want to show the difference in the dynamic responses between an adiabatic reactor without catalyst and one with catalyst. A plot is set up in the usual way using Tools on the top toolbar and selecting New Forms and Plot. The variables to be plotted are dragged and dropped from the feedstream and from the reactor block. The feed temperature and the reactor exit temperatures are plotted. In addition, the temperatures at several locations down the length of the reactor with catalyst are plotted the temperatures at 5, 10, and 15 m in the 20 m reactor containing the catalyst. The models of the two adiabatic reactors use 20 lumps. [Pg.322]

Note the availability of another Setup command button on the main toolbar of this worksheet its functionality is similar to the Setup button on the main logo sheet, but, as you can see in Figure 1.6, the SET command bar button to save the window size is replaced by a new button, the action of which is to place particular displays on this window and the others accessible using the command buttons of Figure 1.4 as considered best for a particular monitor and the sharpness of the viewer s eyes. This second command bar is included as the Setup option on the main command bar for all the worksheets accessed through the command buttons displayed in Figure 1.5. [Pg.4]

This exercise introduces two new features of the EXCEL software the matrix multiplication and transpose macros MMULT() and the TRANSPOSE(). These are best activated using the =/ icon on the TOOLBAR and the option to drag out the array data to be multiplied, visible in the function window. You select an equal area of blank cells on the spreadsheet and then activate the MMULT() or TRANSPOSEO macros. Note too that after selecting the particular area for each array, the sequence to enter these cell references requires CTL/SHIFT/ENTER. Otherwise, only one entry will appear in the top-left hand cell of the chosen active cells for the operation. [Pg.108]

The icons are here depicted as Large Buttons in New Look. It is up to you to choose small buttons in new or old look by inactivating the appropriate boxes. The new look version shows no separation between icons in a toolbar. Furthermore, note that it is useful to mark Show Tooltips, which means, if you let the cursor rest for a while on an icon, an info text will be displayed, which describes the function of the icon. You can move bars by Drag and Drop to any point of the OPUS User Interface. Find out by yourself how the toolbars change by moving to the Spectrum Window or to the Browser Window. [Pg.68]

In summary, it can be useful to modify the toolbars, but remember that in the frame of OPUSDEMO you cannot save toolbars new configured. [Pg.70]
