New Exploration of Ammonia Synthesis Catalyst

Recently, the ammonia synthesis was called as the setting sun industry and someone also lamented the foreground obscuration of the chemistry of nitrogen fixation, in particular, in the research area of organometallic biochemical nitrogen fixation. However, ammonia is a fundamental building block for modern society and is essential for ammonia synthesis industry which drives the innovation and development of ammonia synthesis catalyst forward. 

Much research interests are fascinated toward the catal dic chemistry in ammonia synthesis. Many famous scientists related to physical chemistry and catalysis such as Nernst, Ostward, Emmett, Haber, Bosch, Mittasch, Ertl, Nielsen, Topsoe, Samorjai, Dumesic, Nprskov, Boudart, et al. had studied the cataljdic ammonia synthesis. Among them, Haber, Bosch and Ertl won the Noble prizes in 1919, 1932 and 2007, respectively, because of their contributions in ammonia synthesis
