Neuronal nuclear antigen

Oligodendrogliomas can produce mucopolysaccharide and can even float an occasional normal neuron. Lack of mass effect, discrete cortical location, low MIBl LI, and lack of brain infiltration typify DNTs and distinguish them from oligodendrogliomas. Evaluating the tumor margin with serial sections analyzed immu-nohistochemically for NF, MIBl, and synaptophysin shows these features. Neuronal nuclear antigen, if present, may also identify a DNT. ... [Pg.854]
