Spodoptera litura nerol

Nerol (272) was converted by the insect lavae Spodoptera litura to give 8-hydroxynerol (320), 10-hydroxynerol (321), l-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-(2 , 6 )-octadienal (322), and l-hydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-(2 , 6 )-octadienoic acid (323) (Takeuchi and Miyazawa, 2004) (Figure 14.14).
