The Amaican Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) has operated the National Poison Data System (NPDS, formerly the Toxic Exposure Survdllance Systan - TESS) since 1983. The NPDS collects information on poison exposures self-reported by telephone callers to Poison Centers serving the USA and its territories [8]. Telephone inquiries to US Poison Centers come fiom the general public, as well as health-care providers.
