N-halo-succinimides

Several positive halogen compounds, ZHal, like N-halo-succinimide N-chlorobenzotriazole, dichloroiodoben2ene, etc., react with thiols to give sulphenyl haUdes or disulphides depending on the relative ratios of the reagents (equations 46 and 47).
