Variations in musculature are not as interesting from the standpoint of biochemistry as those involving other structures, but there are some available facts regarding variation in this area which are of considerable general interest. From the standpoint of general interest the variations in the musculature of human hands are worthy of attention, especially so since it is often supposed that the human hand is a standard piece of equipment which all normal people possess.
