Multiple questions

Sometimes you may also see quality-of-life (QOL) data collected for your clinical trial. Quality-of-life data are collected to measure the overall physical and mental well-being of a patient. These data are usually collected with a multiple-question patient questionnaire and may be summed up into an aggregate patient score for analysis. Some commonly used quality-of-life questionnaires are the SF-36 and SF-12 Health Survey, but there are quite a few disease-specific QOL questionnaires available to clinical researchers. [Pg.40]

Question 11 is a multiple question. In this case the patient was helpful. Yes could easily have been the answer, which would have left the pharmacist wondering whether he meant Yes, I have had it before or Yes, it was the first time. An answer No could have meant No, I have not had it before or No, it was the first time. A closed multiple question allows for misinterpretation. [Pg.203]

Ask questions appropriately. Make it an inquiry, not an interrogation. Try to avoid complex, multiple questions keep questions clear and concise. Don t answer yom own question before letting the other person answer. Try not to embarrass the person. Keep questions relevant to the topic. [Pg.198]

Originally, brainstorming was developed as a group technique. However, it can also be put in practice on a solitary basis. A prerequisite for brainstorming is that it should address one specific question or topic. Sessions that address multiple questions tend to be rather inefficient. [Pg.193]
