Adsorption from liquids into molecular sieve zeolites is increasingly being used in separation and purification processes. Broughton et al. (1970) and Broughton and Gembichi (1984) reported the separation by adsorption of liquid hydrocarbon mixtures and fructose-glucose mixtures by simulated moving bed applications (Luis, 1999 Rios et al., 1998).
