Mouse The taurine concentration in the seminal vesicles of the mouse (Table 4) was roughly five times that in the guinea pig and rat and decreased to one half with a 90 loss in tissue weight after castration. The hypotaurine concentration was not as high as in the guinea pig but much greater than in the rat and nearly disappeared after castration with a restoration to normal with testosterone propionate treatment.
