Morphological characterization of cell death

A Trypan blue is a suspected carcinogen. Gloves should be worn when using all stains. 

Cytocentrifuge cells onto glass slides. The speed of centrifugation will depend on the cell type a typical cytocentrifuge setting would be 300 rpm for 2 min. 

Remove glass slides and place in fixing solution for 20 s ( A of Rapi-Diff II stain). Remove excess fluid from slide and repeat for the cytoplasmic and nuclear stains ( B and C of Rapi-Diff II stain, respectively). Rinse with distilled water.
