The media most commonly used in gel chromatography (otherwise termed gel filtration or molecular sieve chromatography) are the cross-linked dextrans (Sephadex), bead-form polyacrylamides (Bio-Gel P) and the bead form agaroses (Sepharose, Bio-Gel A, and Indubiose).
