Modulation parameters, verification

From a technical point of view, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) optimizes several parameters selection of multiple beams and, for each beam, optimization of dose, dose rate, size and shape, etc. Tomotherapy optimizes the dose distribution by IMRT in successive sections with immediate verification gamma knife, cyberknife, and radiosurgery concentrate high radiation doses in well-defined small volumes. 

The individual modules calculation (see verification of functioning capability), baseline measuremenf and diagnostic implemented in ADAM are used to determine deviations from permissible tolerances of certain parameters (e.g. zero loads, running power etc.) or trends in the function of the valve and the actuator. 

The SIL verification module includes a generic reliability database of various parameters (X, MTTR, MTBF, MTTF, DC, Ti, p) and it can be updated periodically. There is possibility to enter the rehabihty data from external sources with relevant explanations (providing dociunentary evidence). 

The standardization provided by the SCALE system arises from the use of well-established functional modules and data libraries in standard analytical sequences. The unified input specified in terms of easily visualized engineering parameters reduces the occurrence of input errors and lends itself to easy verification. Through the selection of standard analytical sequences, the SCALE system user can perform sophisticated state-of-the-art analysis In a commonly understood, well-documented manner.
