Moderation of Hot Atoms

There is relatively little experimental data on moderation of photochemical hot atoms. The effect of added moderator on the yield of hot product in a typical case can be seen from equation (8). For a given ratio of HBr to RD addition of moderator M causes an increase in the ratio of Hj to HD,
