Mixers-settlers orifices

In the CCC, chlorine solution is admixed to the final settler effluent. The chamber is equipped with a 0.25-kW (1/3 tip), 330-rpm mixer. The two plenums serve to distribute the process water over the cross section of the flow-through chamber with the help of two orifice plates mounted at the entrance and exit of that chamber. Each orifice plate carries 40 orifices of 12.7 mm (1/2 in.) diameter. The flow-through chamber is 1.52 m X 1.52 m (5 ft X 5 ft) in cross section and 4.88 m (16 ft) long. [Pg.417]
