There are two alternative methods of microchip manufacturing. The first method is through intermediate production of blank microchips in which the probes are immobilised to the gel pads after photopolymerisation and activation of the acrylamide [11]. The second method involves the simpler copolymerisation procedme in which the method for the production of matrices and the step of probe immobilisation is combined [15]. In this method, acrylamide is copolymerised with oligonueleotides or proteins that contain unsaturated residues. [Pg.67]

While Tetrafluoromethane is also used as a low-temperature refrigerant gas, it is also widely used by the electronics industry as a dry etchant in microchip manufacture. It is blended with oxygen and used to desmear and etch-back through holes on printed circuit boards. [Pg.402]

Adaptec Inc. is a 1 billion microchip manufacturer supplying critical components to electronic equipment makers. The company, with its headquarters based in California, outsources the manufacturing tasks and concentrates on produet research and development. [Pg.183]

Recently several novel photoresist processes have been proposed mainly by microchips manufacturers, some of which are listed in Figure 4 for example. A common feature of these novel processes is that they utilize non-photochemical reactions of NQD which take place either thermally or in the presence of base. The authors investigated these reactions using model compounds. The present paper elucidates the mechanisms of these processes based on the results of the model reactions (2). [Pg.284]
