The rest of the area was made up of hallways, stairways, and a large size closet. Stairs to the mezzanine were designed to be wide enough for carrying large equipment up for storage. The main door to the laboratory opened into a small hall at the stairs, not directly into the plant, in order to avoid collisions with moving plant equipment. 

There were plans to build a small office for production personnel on part of the mezzanine, so the system had to be able to handle this, too. 

Lunch will be served in the Madrid Room, Mezzanine, at 12 noon.

I raced back up the stairs, all four flights, probably faster than I had come down, shouting ahead not to lock me out. I expected all the Mardanas to come pouring out of the mezzanine suites and sier Alvise and his wife out of the piano nobile to see what the fuss was about, but they didn t. Because of the physical size of the reactor, it is normally mounted with the top of the reactor at a mezzanine floor level. This allows easy access to the inlet ports. The reactor can be mounted at this point on a number of load cells. The load cells must be of such capacity to take the whole weight of the reactor when it is full of prepolymer. In this case, all connectors to the reactor must be flexible. 

It was estimated that the chemicals stored in the room on the mezzanine fell down and and broke, releasing strong acids which then generated heat. When ethanol, methanol, benzene, and other flammable organic liquids mixed in, they caught fire. The chemicals stored there at that time were reported and are listed in Table 2.5...

The Method of Mezzanine Concentration (MMC) According to the -transform theory, the composition of the mezzanine bands is related to the h values through " the reversed /j-transform". 

In the MMC method, a non-linear regression of the values of the mezzanine concentrations measured during the FA experiments is made to Eqs. 4.80 to 4.86. This regression gives estimates of the parameters of the binary Langmuir isotherm, Sj and bi, for each component of the mixture. 

This method is ctunbersome compared to MCV because it requires the measurement of series of values of the mezzanine concentrations, which is time consuming. In addition, if values of C, are measured, it is much better to use the MMB method which gives the actual isotherm graph, a graph that is independent of the model while the MMC is valid only for the Langmuir isotherm model. 

The Hybrid Method of Mass Balance (HMMB) This method is a modification of the MMB method in which, instead of measuring a series of values of C which is cumbersome, these concentrations are estimated through Eqs. 4.85 and 4.86 by using the isotherm parameters, , and determined by the MCV method. This hybrid approach employs MCV only to estimate the mezzanine concentrations, so it is more acciurate than MCV when the actual isotherm deviates from the Langmuir competitive isotherm.

There are varying definitions of private equity, but in general it consists of investments made by partnerships in venture capital (VC) leveraged buyout (LBO) and mezzanine finance funds. The investor usually agrees to commit a minimum of at least 1 miUion and often significantly more. The managing partner then draws against commitments as investment opportunities arise.
