Metal structurally characterized

The recent structure determination of [Cp2W(ju-H)2Rh(PPh3)2]+ 183) (Fig. 43) represents the first example of a M(m-H)2M linkage (i.e., one that involves two different metals) structurally characterized. The H atoms were located and included in the final refinements, but their positions were not reported in the paper. 

A variety of complexes of the thionyl imide anion [NSO] with both early and late transition-metal complexes have been prepared and structurally characterized. Since both ionic and covalent derivatives of this anion are readily prepared, e.g., K[NSO], McsMNSO (M = Si, Sn) or Hg(NSO)2, metathetical reactions of these reagents with transition-metal halide complexes represent the most general synthetic method for the preparation of these complexes (Eq. 7.10 and 7.11). ...

To date, the only organometallic lanthanide porphyrin complexes to be reported contain yttrium and lutetium, and they will be considered in the section on scandium. Representative structural types of porphyrin complexes containing groups 3 and 4 metals are shown in Fig. 3 and selected data for all the structurally characterized complexes are given in Table 11.
