Mechanical behaviour of adhesive joints

The previous four chapters have discussed various aspects in the formation of adhesive joints. This chapter, and the following two, will consider various aspects of the mechanical behaviour and the mechanics and mechanisms of failure of adhesive joints. 

common joint designs to be found in many industrial applications will be discussed and some basic design considerations reviewed.
