Cyclizine exhibits antihistamine and anticholinergic action and is used for vomiting and diarrhea. The exact mechanism of action is not known. Synonyms of this drug are marezine and migril. 

Another important use of Hj-antagonists is in the treatment of motion sickness. Diphenhydramine (Benadryl), dimenhydrinate (Dramamine), cyclizine (Marezine), and meclizine (Antivert) have anticholinergic activity and are the preferred antihistaminic agents for reducing the symptoms of motion sickness.

Cyclizine Hydrochloride. l-(Diphenyhnethyl)-4-methylpiperazine monohydrochloride [303-25-3] (Marezine) (17) is a white crystalline powder, or small colodess crystals, that is ododess or neady so and has a bitter taste. It melts indistincdy and with decomposition at ca 285°C. One gram of cyclizine hydrochloride [303-25-3] is soluble in 115 mL water, 115 mL ethanol, and 5 mL chloroform it is insoluble in diethyl ether. It may be made by the synthesis shown in Reference 15.
