Malignant meningiomas

Grade II and III aggressive meningiomas occur as both specific subtypes (e.g., chordold, rhabdoid) and as the standard subtypes of meningioma with specific ominous features such as mitotic indices of atypical and malignant meningiomas. [Pg.866]

Prayson RA. Malignant meningioma A clinicopathologic study of 23 patients including MIB-1 and p53 immunohistochemistry. Am J Clin Pathol. 1996 105 719-726. [Pg.887]

Three recurrent malignant meningiomas were treated with 60, 120 and 260 J cm and the median survival was 6, 15 and 23 months, respectively. The first patient died due to metastasis without evidence of local tumor growth. [Pg.229]

The T/B ratios varied according to type of tumor and specimen. Despite careful surgical excision to harvest the samples, the pieces of removed tumor tend to be slightly coagulated. Generally, except in recurrent malignant meningioma, T/B ratios were less than 0.3-0.5. [Pg.266]
