Many complexes containing the octahedral CrS chromophore are known (95). The early preparative work was performed by Delepine (96) and Malatesta (97), who synthesized various chromium(III) dial-... [Pg.221]

The dinitrosyl [Cr(NO)2(Et2dtc)2] was isolated as an air-stable solid by Malatesta (15,16), and by Connelly and Dahl (122), from the following reaction. [Pg.224]

No doubt, the publication of an excellent monograph several years ago has caused some attention to be focused on this subject. Malatesta and Bonati (90) have carefully reviewed the subject of isocyanide-transition metal... [Pg.21]

The infrared evidence bearing on this conclusion is reviewed by Malatesta and Bonati (90), and need not be presented here in detail. It is observed only that comparisons are made between the values of vco (or CO force constants) for series of analogous compounds such as Ni(CO)4 j5Lj or M(CO) (M = Cr, Mo, W L=CNR, CNAr, phos, etc.) also comparisons are often made between the values of for the free ligand and for the ligand bonded in a metal complex. Much of this work dates back over... [Pg.26]

Reactions of the ferrocyanide ion with alkylating agents, and reactions of iron(II) salts with alkyl or aryl isocyanides, have led to complexes of several types including [FeLJ, [FeLjX], cis- and tranf-FeL4(CN)2 and FeL4X2 this chemistry is reviewed by Malatesta and Bonati (90). There has been some extension of this work. [Pg.58]

Virtually all work on nickel isocyanide complexes centers on nickel(O) species. Malatesta and Bonati 90) describe complexes of the formula NiL4 and Ni(CO) L4 jj. The former are formed in a variety of reactions, including reductions of nickel(II) in the presence of isocyanides, and by the replacement of other ligands by isocyanides. The latter are, of course, derivatives of Ni(CO)4. In addition, a few ill-defined nickel(II) complexes are reported, as is the formally nickel(I) species (C5H5NiCNC6Hj)2. [Pg.68]

Most work on platinum involves complexes in the divalent state. Malatesta and Bonati report no platinum(O) or platinum(IV) species. The lack of... [Pg.75]
