Several points are noteworthy first, the conversion of the 2 1 cobalt(II) complex into the 3 1 cobalt(III) complex in the presence of mineral acid and atmospheric oxygen, which no doubt accounts for the variable results obtained by earlier workers and second, the isolation of the complexes of formula [(LH)2ConX2] and their facile conversion into the complexes of formula [L2C011]. The former were considered to be octahedrally coordinated cobalt(II) complexes on the basis of magnetic and conductance measurements and represented the first examples of metal... 

This is a monomer unit associated in some manner with an electron giving a diamagnetic species. The Arnold and Patterson model, obtained from theoretical considerations, helps to reconcile the magnetic and conductance data of metal-ammonia solutions. 

Synthetic methods toward 1,2,3,5-diselenadiazole rings have been reported <1989JA9276, 1996CHEC-II(4)743, 2004HOU777>. They involve the reaction of tris(trimethylsilyl)amidine 326 with selenium dichloride generated in situ from selenium and selenium tetrachloride (Equation 48). A number of new derivatives have been prepared by this method, in order to explore the structural, magnetic, and conductivity properties of the radicals. 

The previously unknown [IrF(AsPh3)3] and frons-[IrF(CO)(AsPh3)2] have been prepared,234 as has the related [IrCl(CO)(Ph2AsCH=CHAsPh2)].17° Magnetic and conductivity studies support a square-planar formulation for the last-mentioned complex. 

A report describing the preparation of oxyfluoro species purported to be M4Re2OF10 (M = K or Cs) has been published.601 They have been characterized on the basis of spectroscopic, magnetic and conductivity measurements.
