Magic angle spinning , solid-state pulse sequence

Solid-state C variable-amplitude cross polarization magic-angle spinning (VACP/MAS) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra were acquired for the sorbitol samples. Proton decoupling was achieved by a two-pulse phase modulation (TPPM) sequence. Identical C spectra were measured for the y-form sorbitol samples, and a representative spectrum is shown in Figure 9. 

We have seen how by magic-angle spinning (MAS) and high-power decoupling the resolution is rendered similar to that in the solution phase. The intensity of signals due to less abundant nuclei is enhanced by the use of cross-polarization (CP) pulse sequences. Excellent spectra of a variety of nuclei in the solid state have been obtained... 

Si-NMR spectra were recorded on a Bruker VJM-250 (liquid) or a Bruker CXP-300 Fourier transform magic-angle-spinning (FT MAS) solid state spectrometer. Resonances are relative to tetramethyl-silane (TMS). Dynamics of the silicate solutions were studied by selective excitation techniques by using DANTE-type (131 pulse sequences. 

D solid-state NMR techniques, such as the 2D-TOSS pulse sequence [39], can allow the separation of isotropic and anisotropic chemical shift information over two dimensions, making it possible to distinguish individual carbon atoms under moderate magic angle spinning (MAS) conditions.
