Splash type lubrication

Lubrication is splash type and grease is used on the more competitive models. There are variations available with internal pressure lubrication systems. Some models can be equipped with an external lube system, and for rare cases, API 614 lubrication systems have been proposed. 

Spiash Lubrication. This is the simplest method of lubricating enclosed drives and is highly satisfactory for low and moderate-speed drives. In Figure 3-41 are shown a few arrangements for splash lubrication of different types of drives. 

A large propeller-type stirrer is satisfactory. The blades should be pitched to drive the liquid upwards, and the propeller should be located just below the surface of the liquid to provide splashing. The checkers used a glycerol-lubricated rubber-tube seal.1... 

However, traditionally applied separation equipment of packed (-column) and splash lubrication t5qres possesses low carrying capacity on gas. In this cormection, use of apparatuses of whirlwind type is in certain cases, the tmique way of the solution of a problem.
