Logic gates output signals

Logic gates are devices that can perform basic logic operations, depending on the nature of the input and output signals. The relation between the inputs and outputs is summarised in the truth table of the logic gate. 

OR gate A type of logic gate where either input of on (1) signals an output of on (1). origin The origin point (O or 0,0) is where the x-and y-axes intersect. 

The chemical threading and unthreading shown in Scheme 5.4 describes the input and output relationship of the XOR logic gate. For example, the strong fluorescence signal is seen only when either the amine or the acid are added, but not both (output 1 when X = 1 and Y = 0, or X = 0 and Y = 1) (see truth table. Figure 5.9). 

Hamedi et al. (2009) have developed a Boolean AND logic circuit by using two electrolyte-based transistors. These two transistors were inserted into tulle in Fig. 25.22(a). The input—output curves in Fig. 25.22(b) show a Boolean AND operation, with two inputs corresponding to gate voltages Vgi-2 and the output signal measured as output current 7o t. 

Gate A transistor assembly that combines input signals according to Boolean logic to produce a specific output signal.
