Linewidth of the NMR Signal

In order to fully characterize a signal in a NMR spectrum one should hst its position (chemical shift), multiplicity (splitting pattern), coupling constant (J) and its linewidth at half-height (Avi/2). [Pg.197]

Small linewidths b) are characteristic for long T2 relaxation times as in liquids, whereas large linewidths c) are typical for short relaxation times as in solids. [Pg.198]

Finally we should mention that in some cases the NOE effects are unwanted, for instance when exact quantitation is required.
