Figure 20 Isotropic transient spectra taken at 295 K and excitation of the OH-stretching vibration of proton acceptors/monomers are shown in this figure. Data are measured at —1 ps (a), 2 ps (b), and 10 ps (c), while excitation is adjusted to 3625 cm-1, marked by an arrow. Migration of the vibrational quantum from the directly excited proton acceptor to the proton donor can be clearly seen from the spectra. Measured filled squares, solid line is the sum of the various spectral components indicated by different line styles.

Figure 23 Here we show conventional absorption spectra of the 2 M DMEP and CCI4 mixture in the OH-stretching region at the three indicated temperatures of 260 K (a), 298 K (b), and 343 K (c). The spectral components derived from time-resolved spectroscopy and denoted by different line styles account well for the measured data.

Lines may be differentiated by the use of varying line styles, such as solid, dashed, dotted, and various weights (but never less than 0.5 point wide).

Fig. 3. Annotation styles for microdissection. Annotation software permits single point, line, or polygon area selection for microdissection. The single point style, with a resolution of 3-5 pm, permits microdissection of single cells. The line style is often used to microdissect single cell layers such as endothelial cells, whereas the polygon style is effective for microdissection of relatively large areas of homogeneous cells.

Figure 11.5 compares time to an event for four different but related AEs across three different dose groups and control. Each color and line style indicates a different treatment, and each panel represents different types of AEs. The graph allows reviewers to assess the events side by side or top and bottom. It can address questions such as a difference in the time to event across treatment groups or whether there is any difference in the time to related events across treatment groups. In order to have appropriate comparisons, consistency in scales and colors within each panel is important. 

From the Format Data Series window, pick the Patterns tab and change the line style and weight, as shown. 

Standard BASIC allows the lines to be drawn in a variety of line styles and the points to be plotted in a variety of point styles.

These variations in line style are compatible with the variations of line thickness used for encoding the mathematical structure of variables (e.g., a translated vector is drawn with a dotted and bold perimeter).

She contracted with two furniture manufacturers for product in two distinct value ranges. Style et Contort, which manufactures its products in France, represents the TLC premium line. Style et Contort products are marketed as "antiques of the future," are built to last, and are expensive by most standards. An "economy" line is produced by AG R, also of France. MATLAB allows users to change the color as well as the line style of graphs using a third argument in the plot command. For example, using the same arguments used to generate the plot shown in Fig.
