Line cleaning frequency

So there is some tentative evidence that one of the sonic approaches does indeed disrupt the microbiology of commercial dispense systems and delivers the opportunity to relax line-cleaning frequency. As ever, with such work, it poses more questions and hopefully provokes other technology providers to take the brave step of independent testing. 

The indirect methods for the determination of anions by on-line precipitation using A AS are shown in Table 7.1. It can be seen that methods with a dissolution step generally have much lower sampling frequencies than those without dissolution. One has to remember, however, that the filters have to be cleaned periodically if the precipitates are not dissolved within each cycle. Therefore, the differences in real sample throughputs will not be that significant if the time for the off-line cleaning of filters is taken into account.

Operationally the efficacy of manual line cleaning is strongly influenced by knowledge, skill, and understanding. If frequency and other comers are cut , the hygiene of the hues and consequently beer quality will be compromised. An effective route around this is the use of line cleaning service providers, which is increasingly common in the UK and a standard approach in Europe. 

Libbey did note that there was an increase in burner cleaning frequency with the FlammaTec Flex Burners, primarily on Port Number 1, since as the burner tips collect dirt, the impact on the flame is more significant than on previous burners. Additionally, with the natural gas and cooling piping requirements (two supply lines each), there was an opportunity for more physical connections and fittings, thus creating increased leakage potentials.

In detail the time distribution of the 83.5 keV line at early times is not reproduced by the fit, due to feeding from the 11 isomer. However, the distance to the next pronounced structure, at which all nuclear spins are in phase again is practically independent of this. Feeding from 13" into 11" is weak and spread out in time and therefore uniiqportant. Variations of the fitted range and other parameters changed the results for the frequencies by <1 %.
