Linaria genistifolia

The distribution of quinazoline alkaloids in various parts of Linaria genistifolia and L. vulgaris has been studied. 

The seasonal distribution of 28 in different parts of Adhatoda vasica (74,75), Sida cordifolia (76), Linaria genistifolia (77), L. vulgaris (77), Peganum har-mala (78,79), and Galega ojficinalis (80,81) has been determined. A high-performance liquid chromatographic determination of vasicine and vasicinone has been developed (82). 

The seasonal distribution of vasicine in different parts of Adhatoda vasica 76,89), Sida cor difolia 79), Linaria genistifolia and L. vulgaris 129), Peganum harmala 115, 163) and Galega officinalis 178, 179) has been determined.

Up to a maximum of 0.88% of this alkaloid (see Volume III, p. 101) was found in the following Linaria species L. genistifolia Mill., L. purpurea Mill., L. ventricosa Cass. Bal., and L. dalmatica Mill. (182). It had already been found in L. vulgaris Mill. (183). These plants belong to the Scrophulariaceae.
