The most direct information concerning compliance with Dempsey s rules is found in Figure 5 where the experimental x2 values are compared with computed results. Again, the dealuminated x=.17 sample (i) exhibits total randomization under Loewenstein s restrictions, while the other samples indicate limited compliance with Dempsey s rules.

In the case of polydisperse polymers, the limiting compliance increases strongly with the broadness of the distribution of molecular weights. The limiting comphance is not, however, a simple function of the polydispersity index, because its value depends on the shape of the distribution itself. There is indeed no simple correlation with any molectilar weight moments (averages), and moleciilar models will be really helpfid to describe the elasticity of the melt.

The two established bUe-acid sequestrants or resins (cholestyramine and colestipol) are most often used as second agents if statin therapy does not lower LDL-C levels sufficiently. When used with a statin, cholestyramine and colestipol usually are prescribed at submaximal doses. Maximal doses can reduce LDL-C by up to 25% but are associated with unacceptable gastrointestinal (GI) side effects (bloating and constipation) that limit compliance. Colesevelam is a newer bile-acid sequestrant that is prepared as an anhydrous gel and taken as a tablet. It lowers LDL-C by 18% at its maximum dose. The safety and efficacy of colesevelam have not been studied in children or pregnant women. 

Who enforces the Exposure Limits Compliance with the established limit values is enforced by the labour inspectors of the National Offices for Industrial Safety of the Bundeslander. This leaves Ji and J2. At any given temperature, the separation of the compliance into terms /i and J2 may involve an arbitrary division, which expresses the fact that at the shortest experimentally accessible times we will observe a limiting compliance /i. We will assume, however, that there is a real distinction between the elastic and delayed responses. In some texts, the immediate elastic response in a creep experiment is called the unrelaxed response to distinguish it from the relaxed response that is observed at times sufficiently long for the various relaxation mechanisms to have occurred. To emphasise that the values of such terms as Ji are sometimes arbitrary, we will enclose them in brackets.

The critical point to note is that neither option is, to our knowledge, under investigation. Governments are not delivering an adequate duty of care to underpin intense speed limit compliance efforts.
