Limit, short term duties

Restart criteria should focus on short-term prevention of one or more causal factors while the other causal factors and root causes are determined. One best practice is to have a task force quickly evaluate potential similar underlying causes elsewhere in the plant. Limitations imposed for restart are often undesirable for long-term operation as severe operational limits may be set. These limits, however, allow the system to run with minimal risk of recurrence of the incident. It is the duty of a company to demonstrate it is safe to restart. It is the duty of the regulator to prohibit restart if there is evidence of significant deficiencies. 

It is common practice to employ consultants or contractors for limited times on short-term specific projects. Consultants or contractors must follow the same requirements for personnel hygiene and must have the training necessary to perform their duties. 

Wherever possible, in order to avoid seams in which toxic materials could become trapped, the back splash panel should be an integral part of the work top. Service shelves above the back splash panel can be of lesser duty materials in most cases since they will be primarily used to store limited quantities of reagents in closed containers, intended for short-term usage. The shelving must be solidly built and well supported to ensure that it will bear the weight of materials stored upon it. 

For one, there is only a limited number of manufacturers of proprietary disc brake units suitable for winder apphcations and it is the authors experience that the performance of most of these units fall short of the manufacturers claims in terms of braking effort developed, necessitating the installation of more units than initially envisaged for a specified duty, thus impacting negatively on the cost of the winder upgrade or refurbishment.
