One of the most important fiinctions in the application of light scattering is the ability to estimate the object dimensions. Theta temperature is one of the most important thermodynamic parameters of polymer solutions. At theta temperature, the long-range interactions vanish, segmental interactions become more effective and the polymer chains assume their unperturbed dimensions. Detection in 2DLC is the same as encountered in one-dimensional HPLC. A variety of detectors are presented in Table 5.2.
