The conformation of complex side groups that consist of more than one atom is more difficult to assess from X-ray liber diagrams, and much work remains to be done to obtain detailed structural data for such polyphosphazenes. [Pg.105]

A volatile oil contains a relatively large fraction of lighter and intermediate oomponents which vaporise easily. With a small drop in pressure below the bubble point, the relative amount of liquid to gas in the two-phase mixture drops rapidly, as shown in the phase diagram by the wide spacing of the iso-vol lines. At reservoir pressures below the bubble point, gas is released In the reservoir, and Is known as solution gas, since above the bubble point this gas was contained in solution. Some of this liberated gas will flow towards the producing wells, while some will remain in the reservoir and migrate towards the crest of the structure to form a secondary gas cap. [Pg.104]

The concentration of enzyme is veiy low, about several hundred milligrams per litre in the fermentation broth. Solvent extraction is a suitable process to recover a small amount of enzyme. The chance of some enzyme being intracellular is high, therefore cells are ruptured to liberate enzyme, which can then interact with organic solvents. Two types of polymerization units are designed by Universal Oil Products Company. The U.O.P. Reactor-type unit contains the catalyst in tubes which are surrounded by water in a jacket for the purpose of removing the heat liberated by the exothermic polymerization reaction. The steam generated in the water jacket normally is used to preheat the feed. A feed-to-products heat exchanger furnishes the remaining heat requirements. Nonvolatile Solvents. In practice, some gases tend to liberate such large amounts of heat when they are absorbed into a solvent that the operation cannot be assumed to be isothermal, as has been done thus far.
