Gold" " salts injected subcutaneously over a 10-day period induced an autoimmune syndrome similar to that of HgCli in brown Norway rats. The auto-immune syndrome in both cases was characterized by a marked increase in IgE production, lymphoprolifera-tion, T cell-dependent polyclonal B cell activation, hypergammaglobulinaemia, and tissue injury widi necrotizing leucocytoclastic vasculitis in the gut at day 15 post-injection.

Immunologic Leucocytoclastic vasculitis secondary to Famciclovir has been described [46 ]. 

Skin A case of leukocytoclastic vasculitis manifested as exanthematous rash was identified in a 57-year-old woman on long-term therapy with dopidogrel. A skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis, dopidogrel was discontinued and the rash resolved completely. Leucocytoclastic vasculitis is an unusual adverse effect of dopidogrel, especially as a late complication [49 ].

Induchon of cryoglobulinemia occurred in a 56-year-old female following 2 years of PTU treatment for Graves disease. The diagnosis was based on laboratory results of positivity for perinuclear ANCA and MPO-ANCA antibodies and cryoglobulin and cryofibrinogen. A skin biopsy revealed leucocytoclastic vasculitis that resolved following cessation of PTU. The patient was continued on MMI [49 ]. 

Although leucocytoclastic immune-complex vasculitis induced by levamisole is well known, this specific presentation with involvement of the ears has not been described before.
