Leather gloves were worn over the rubber gloves by all personnel to eliminate dermal hand exposure. Preliminary analyses of filter paper placed inside the rubber gloves indicated no penetration of I C paraquat. Leaves of each plant in a plot were stripped toward the plant base with the right hand while the tip of the stem was held in the left hand. The leaves were then stored in a plastic bag, which was sealed afterwards.
