Learning Objectives for Module

The Seminar is structured around two-week modules. The general learning objectives for each two-week module are to integrate knowledge of science and ethics, research the facts and background of a case area, recognize a problem or a place for improvement, see the ethical implications, research alternatives and trade-offs, evaluate alternatives scientifically and ethically and be able to recommend and defend a course of action. Three research-based environmental nanotechnology modules have been designed and implemented in an undeigraduate level environmental engineering course. For these modules, we selected two nanomaterials (nanoscale bimetalhc iron particles and engineered nanospheres) that may provide solutions to challenging enviromnental pollution problems (3). Table I shows a summary of each module and its learning objective(s). 

Step 2. A NMMS that works well will probably generate a lot of "deja vu" reactions on the part, of the safety staff coping with a sizable pile of these reports. To maximise the learning effect and for practical reasons some sort of selection procedure is necessary to filter out the most interesting reports for further analysis in the subsequent, modules. First of all, management objectives may of course lead to certain selection rules (e.g. special interest in personal injuries, or in product quality). Even more important however would be the presence of unique elements or unexpected combinations of elements, visible already by looking at the "raw" reports. Such reports would have to be ensured of the extra time and effort needed by the safety staff to apply all modules in these cases. 

Experiment 3 Maximum Throughput Measurement The objective of this experiment is to learn how WiMAX responds to SS based on their distances. As per TF,F,F, 802.16 standard, WiMAX will choose different modulation schanes for S S which are at different distances. The experiment will be performed by placing SS at different distances from BS and observing QoS parameters (Fig. 3a). 

III) Application phase. Teachers were motivated to redesign a particular chapter of their traditional textbook about the structure and properties of water, but they were not able to redesign this chapter according to the instructional functions of the module. Contrary to our expectations, this task was too ambitious for them. After the course when interviewed, teachers indicated some confusion about the course objectives was this course about improving the student module or about teacher learning Furthermore, they also mentioned that, in their opinion, the functions of parts of the module were too abstract to be used in practice.
