This is very important because com oil is the second leading vegetable oil consmned and produced 4.45 billion pounds in 2015 in the United States (USDA, 2015 USDA, 2014). Since US adults age 65 and older heavily consume this high fat oil, their population is rapidly increasing and is projected to reach 71 million by 2030. The objectives of the present study are to summarize the long-term health effect of high volume of com oil consumption in aging animals and to understand the relevant mechanisms. [Pg.94]
